Olde Tyme Christmas will be the first Saturday after Thanksgiving at 5:30 pm starting with the Hayride.
Shepherd’s View Hayride is the main event of the night. It goes across seventeen acres. We have a song leader/actor that leads the crowd in Christmas Carols in between scenes. We have actors across the seventeen acres that act out the story of Jesus from his birth through his resurrection. The hay-ride runs every thirty five minutes through-out the night.
We also give horse rides to kids, and there is a kiddie train ride.
There will also be live music, a camp fire, a bounce house, and a farm zoo. Enjoy walking through the aromatic Christmas trees. It really does smell like Christmas. Browse through a quaint Country Christmas Store. Stop in for a wreath making demo at the Nickel Theater. Concessions will also be available.
Shepherd’s View Hayride
“And in that region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with fear.”
Imagine how the shepherds felt on that cold, lonely night when the angels appeared to tell of Jesus’ birth. Their joy must have been overwhelming to hear of the newborn Savior!
That first Christmas must have been full of pure wonder and joy! But in today’s busy world, God’s great gift of joy sometimes seems far away.
Help us return to the wonder and joy of that first Christmas as we prednisone ring in the season with our annual Shepherd’s View Hayride.
